Hand Grenade

Was tinkering around with 3ds max while watching Burn Notice... started doing a rough model of a hand grenade...

heres some interesting trivia i found about grenades:
"The word "grenade" is derived from the Old French (pome) grenate ("pomegranate"), in reference to the general size of early grenades, and because its shrapnel pellets reminded soldiers of the seeds of this fruit. Grenadiers were originally soldiers who specialized in throwing grenades."

- source Wikipedia

Now thats interesting, a weapon of such destructive force, named after a fruit!

Heres a large wallpaper sized render
