Am trying out opera's latest beta now.
it includes what they are calling "Opera turbo". Basically its simillar to the server end compression that opera mini uses, with a few hardcore advancements... ala recompressing of images(resulting in acceptable quality loss i suppose) on websites to make them load faster..
A quick test i ran gave these results:
the page i loaded on both browsers was Kotaku.com , while the latest beta loaded the page relatively faster than the current opera build, i somehow prefer the non compressed version of the site.

Opera Turbo:
Although i can understand if your in a location with very low speeds, and really need to look up some information fast.. plus its a feature that you can "switch off" at anytime, so i'm not too worried about it. i give it a 8/10 score.
