budget satelites?
while ISRO(Indian Space Research Organisation) spends billions of taxpayer cash on arcane technology(to be fare they have a pretty good success rate).. Google has been sending up androids .. in styrofoam beer coolers.. attached to weather balloons..
all to test the performance of the devices' GPS, accelerometer, gyroscope etc.. one can only wonder how ridiculously inexpensive it would eventually be to put a fully functional satellite in orbit.
