Hungry Children

The Akshaya Patra Foundation feeds over 1.2 million children today. They are the largest non-profit organisation in the world to implement the school meal programme. They need your help.

Here are some quick facts i got from their site:
-currently more than one sixth of all humanity are starving.
-one out of four children is underweight(thats roughly 146 million kids)
-due to illiteracy a lot of them have to do all kinds of unimaginable things just to feed themselves

and the scariest of all
-more than half of all child deaths are directly or indirectly caused by malnutrition
